Inspiring and Healing Mantras for Stressful Times

The world has changed as we know it, and we are amongst turbulent and unknown times. On top of our usual daily stresses, things are happening out of our control and it can be easy to feel overwhelmed. That’s why now more than ever it’s important we keep our wellness top of mind, continue to be kind to ourselves and become our own personal cheerleaders. One of the easiest ways to do this is through mantras.

How to Use Mantras 

A simple way to help you keep a positive mindset and ease anxiety is to choose a mantra you connect with and repeat it to yourself throughout the day. You can print out a mantra and place it somewhere you will see often, or make it your phone screen saver. If you have a journal it can be healing to write it over and over. If you meditate you can take 15 minutes to sit with the words and repeat them whenever your mind starts to wander. Choose a method that will work best for you, the goal here is to keep the mantra top of your mind.

How Mantras Work

Mantras work by replacing negative thoughts into positive thoughts. They help silence the background chatter of your brain by focusing on one thought. This, in turn, helps calm your nervous system and ease anxiety. What we think becomes our reality so by focusing on the things we wish to feel or have in our life we are having a positive effect on our lives – it’s that simple.
